On November 20, 2025, ICD researcher Laura Kiesewetter will present her latest research paper HygroShape: Programming Flat-pack, Self-shaping Wood Furniture at the ACM SCF ’25 symposium. The publication builds upon the HygroShape project and investigates the fabrication of fully passive flat-pack wood furniture. The ACM Symposium on Computational Fabrication (SCF) is a leading international forum for research on digital fabrication, programmable materials and novel manufacturing processes, bringing together designers, engineers and computer scientists to exchange advances in theory and practice.
