On January 16th, 2026, Research Associates Gili Ron (ICD/CA) and VIS researchers Jonas Vogelsang and Regine Lendway presented their winning project proposal funded for Human-Intelligent Systems Interaction and Teaming (IRIS-HISIT), 2026-27.
The project, titled "Towards Real-Time Adaptive Robotic Behavior: using multimodal feedback and reinforcement learning for human-robot collaboration, by and for humans and robots" developes sensor and ML informed HRC, and its multimodal communication and coordination interfaces.
