Human-robot Collaborative Fabrication with AR

Our Advanced Engineering Informatics paper entitled "An implementation and evaluation of large-scale multi-user human–robot collaboration with head-mounted augmented reality"  received the IntCDC Best Publication Award 2025 at the annual IntCDC Status Seminar.

The IntCDC Best Publication Award recognises up to two excellent publications per year to honour and strengthen early academic independence and dedication to academic work. It is endowed with €1,500 each.

This paper presents the implementation of a multi-user system for human–robot collaboration using head-mounted augmented reality (AR) devices with high-payload robots. The system enabled multiple workers to safely work with industrial robots to complete the prefabrication of timber cassettes.
