On May 25th, Prof. Achim Menges will give a lecture titled "Architektur anders denken: Biobasiertes und bioinspiriertes Bauen" at the Heidelberg Academy of Science.

Prof. Achim Menges, who was awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize by the DFG in 2023 for his scientific work, will discuss in his lecture how a bionic approach in architecture enables scientific and interdisciplinary lateral thinking. He will also demonstrate, with selected projects, how an architecture can emerge that is simultaneously effective and explorative, efficient and expressive.
