Beyond Bauhaus Award, 2019

The BUGA Fibre Pavilion was selected as one of the winners of the competition "beyond bauhaus - prototyping the future" from nearly 1500 international applications.

The competition - launched by the "Germany - Land of Ideas" initiative seeks groundbreaking design concepts by visionary international designers and focuses on design prototypes and cutting-edge projects aimed at making the world a healthier, fairer, more sustainable and better place. "beyond bauhaus - prototyping the future" is included in Bauhaus 100, the official program of the national Bauhaus Association 2019, celebrating the one-hundredth anniversary of the visionary Bauhaus design school. As such, the competition echoes modernity's central conviction about the world-altering power of design and brings that conviction into the present by focusing on projects that offer solutions to some of the most pressing contemporary social, ecological and global challenges.

From August 16th 2019 to September 1st 2019, the BUGA Fibre Pavilion will be presented at the gallery CLB Berlin as part of the festival "beyond bauhaus - prototyping the future", an exhibition accompanied by a diverse program of events, talks and workshops.
