On Wednesday, May 29th, ICD Research Associate Martin Alvarez will speak at the Pratt institute - the Consortium for Research & Robotics. The lecture will be titled, “BuGa Wood Pavilion - Towards a new Digital Timber Lightweight Construction".
The lecture will describe and discuss the BuGa Wood Pavilion. Alvarez will touch on the latest developments and aspirations in timber lightweight construction, and will focus on how novel possibilities in design, engineering, fabrication and construction can be explored through continuous computational feedback within an interdisciplinary team.
The lecture will be held at the consortium’s lab space, in Brooklyn Brooklyn Navy Yard, 63 Flushing Ave, Bldg 280, Suite 515 at 6pm.
