On November 21st 2026, Prof. Achim Menges, director of the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD) and spokesperson of the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC at the University of Stuttgart, will present at the DETAIL Digital Congress in Berlin. He will share insights into the latest research and projects of ICD and IntCDC, followed by discussions with distinguished colleagues from architectural practice and industry.
Under the theme “Artificial Intelligence & Co.: A Revolution for the Construction Industry?”, the congress will explore how digitalisation is transforming the construction world, from planning and implementation to operation. AI-supported tools, robotics, 3D printing, and modular construction methods are opening up new possibilities for design, planning, and automated building processes. The event will also address the challenges of integrating these technologies into practice, asking how greater efficiency can be achieved without compromising building culture and human needs.
