Markus Hudert studied architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Coburg and completed his postgraduate studies in conceptual architectural design at the Städelschule in Frankfurt in 2002. From 2003 to 2006 he was based in the Netherlands, where he worked for UNStudio and Benthem Crouwel Architects. Since 2006 he has been research and teaching assistant at the IBOIS laboratory for timber constructions at the EPFL in Lausanne, where he is currently working on his doctoral thesis.
