ICD/ITKE Research Pavilion 2014-15: ETFE cutting

The geometry for the ICD/ITKE Research Pavilion 2014-15 was developed to perform in both an initial inflated state as well as a final compression load bearing condition. A cut pattern for the inflatable formwork was developed from the form found geometry to minimize the total welding seam length, while maintaining the necessary double curvature. The ETFE foil was cut and prepared at the Institute of Aircraft Design.
