As part of the Rob|Arch 2012 conference in Vienna, the workshop ‘Wood Morphologies’ will explore agent-based modeling algorithms as a computational design tool for wood plate structures.

Participants will directly implement the most recent computational design tools developed by the ICD Research Team. They will initially work in three teams focusing on the design of global relations or ‘meta-agents’, local interactions or ‘agents’ and the robotic production of the wood plate structure respectively. The results of these individual teams will be merged starting from Day 2 of the workshop. The common prototype will explore the different aspects of agent-based modeling as a computational tool for robotic wood plate fabrication.

The workshop is fully booked!
