Sian-Jyun Chen

Sian-Jyun Chen is a Research Associate at the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD), University of Stuttgart. He holds a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Architecture and Digital Fabrication from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Tamkang University, Taiwan.

His work focuses on computational design, robotic fabrication, material programming, and cyber-physical manufacturing systems. Prior to joining ICD, he worked on robotic construction workflows, impact printing technologies, and adaptive fabrication systems involving ABB, KUKA, and UR robots.

At ICD, his research contributes to bio-based material systems and robotic fabrication processes within the ArchiBioFoam project.
