Architecture Exhibitions Weekend: 22 & 23 June 2019, 12–6 PM

ICD research on Human Robot Collaboration and on Construction-oriented fibre composite systems for robotically wound lightweight roof and ceiling systems will be on display at the CLB project space in Berlin-Kreuzberg from 19 June until 20 July 2019 as part of an exhibition on the research initiative Zukunft Bau, which is funded by the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR).

The research initiative has been intiated by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community (BMI) and the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) in order to bridge the gap between academic research and future markets and to promote sustainability and resource efficiency in construction.

The overarching question of research funding is: How must construction be oriented in order to meet the requirements of future generations, social developments and ecological necessities?

The exhibition presents research projects of the initiative: These range from new approaches to low-cost housing construction to innovations in the use of existing buildings, research into new materials and circular economy in the construction sector.

The exhibition presents an excerpt from the diverse results and ideas that have emerged in research.
